Sample Adjustment of Status Cover Letter

A cover letter is not required but it will help you organize your papers as it’ll also serve as a checklist for your AOS application. Your cover letter must be written in English. Remember also that any non-english documents submitted to the USCIS must be translated in English.

Here is a sample of our Adjustment Of Status (AOS) cover page when we submitted my Adjustment of Status application to The Department of Homeland Security’s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). I posted this here for reference hoping that this would give other Adjustment Of Status applicants an idea as to what paperworks they need to submit. Be sure to check the USCIS website for the most recent updates of requirements and fees. (Update: I also wrote Sample Adjustment Cover Letter 2)

It is not recommended to write very long cover letter, that is why I formatted my AOS cover letter into a list of contents. But I arranged the contents of my AOS application is the same order that it appeared in the list. It was easier for me in checking that I really have the document in the packet.
