questions Pictures, Images and Photos I have listed some Sample Interview Questions for the USCIS K1 Fiance’(e) Visa Applicants to help you prepare and give you ideas as to what kind of questions to expect and what the US Embassy is looking at. I created a slide video of these K-1 Visa Interview Questions. If you have a Youtube account, I hope you subscribe to my videos or add me as a friend :)

Remember, if you happen to forget some facts, please do not lie. Your memory may let you down but I strongly suggest not to make guesses if you do not know the answer to a question. Be truthful. You can say you don’t remember or you don’t know the answer. Just relax :). Appear calm, well organized, and friendly. Do not be nervous. You should feel more confident specially if you know your significant other so much. The answer to most of these questions will be in the paperworks that you and your fiance(e) sent with the K-1 visa petitions. So, be sure to review everything in your paperwork a day or two before the interview.  Good Luck!

  2. My fiance was denied his visa, because they said I had too many hospital bills. I had filed for bankruptcy right before I met him, which was a little over 2 years ago, so they said that they cannot understand how I can afford to come to see him as often as I have. I do have 3 jobs, and showed them my W2 forms, but of course there is no way for me to remove the bankruptcy, so what are my options? they are supposed to be sending the information back to me as to why it was denied, but I don’t want months to go by with no answers.

Hi Tammi. Sorry to hear about the denial of your visa application. If the reason for visa denial is petitioner’s financial status, you may be required to get a cosponsor that does meet the requirement and agrees to joint sponsor (willing to accept legal responsibility for supporting your family member with you). Please review the 2011 Poverty Guidelines chart (latest). The USCIS wants to see both (you and your fiance’s combined) income of at least 125% of the federal poverty level. If you do not meet this requirement, you can get a co-sponsor. Get a co-sponsor who has all the right documents, at least three years’ worth of tax returns, pay stubs from the last few months, and and all the necessary backup info. If a sponsor was not required by law to file an income tax return, he/she should prepare a notarized statement. Please note that a co-sponsor must meet all the same requirements as you. He/she must reach the 125% income requirement alone. You cannot combine your income with that of a joint sponsor to meet the income requirement.

Please wait for the letter to see what the visa refusal clause or reason and to determine the next step. Some application can be overcome by the furnishing additional information that establishes the applicant’s eligibility for the visa. Hope things work out well for you and your fiance.

    Hi….
    Aku ingin bertanya simple aja….
