USCIS Published Improved Application Forms

These new immigration forms has a new data collection technologies. New applicants must check the edition date of each forms and make sure they using a valid edition. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services also launched a new USCIS Form Improvements Initiative webpage.

1. Form N-600, Application for Certificate of Citizenship. The new edition date 12/16/12. USCIS will accept the 10/30/11 version of form n-600 only until April 5, 2013.

2. Form N-336, Request for a Hearing on a Decision in Naturalization Proceedings. The new edition date is 12/16/12. USCIS will accept the older edition of the form, 10/30/11 version only until April 5, 2013.

3. Form I-601, Application for Waiver of Grounds of Inadmissibility. The current edition is dated 12/16/12. USCIS will only accept editions dated 01/06/10 and later until April 16, 2013.

4. Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card – Form I-90 is use to replace a “Green Card.” This is NOT for conditional resident seeking to remove conditions. The current edition is dated 12/17/12. USCIS will accept editions dated 08/10/09 and later until April 16, 2013. The new Form I-90 edition has 2D barcode technology which is use to help USCIS collect information quickly and accurately. As applicant can complete the form electronically, the barcode stores its information.
